Hello and welcome! I’m Jessica, the founder and lead photographer behind JDLA Photography, a premier Los Angeles newborn and maternity photography studio. I launched my business in 2020, turning a lifelong passion into a career that allows me to be present for my own three beautiful children. Because I'm a mother myself, I know exactly how fleeting and overwhelming these early stages can be. That’s why my fully-equipped studio is designed to offer a luxurious, stress-free portrait experience. From dreamy, fine art maternity photography—complete with a curated client wardrobe—to custom newborn pictures and joyful baby milestone sessions, I handle every little detail so you can simply relax and enjoy the moment. Whether your vision features clean whites, creamy neutrals, or soft, flattering lighting, every session is custom-styled to capture the unique glow of your motherhood journey. Partners and older children are always welcome to join in creating these intimate memories at no extra cost. Proudly serving families across LA, the San Fernando Valley, and Ventura County, we offer professionally hand-retouched images and optional on-site hair and makeup services, ensuring your pregnancy photos are as effortless as they are timeless.
Newborn Sessions
At JDLA Photography, we handle every detail so you can simply sit back and enjoy this exciting 12-month milestone. Our full-service first birthday photo shoots include everything you need: a custom-designed backdrop, beautiful props, a celebratory balloon garland, and even a classic "Naked Cake" for your little one to dig into. You also receive full access to our curated baby wardrobe (sizes 6-12 months), meaning you never have to worry about shopping for a special outfit (though you are welcome to bring your own too). Known for a gentle, patient approach, I take the time to ensure your one-year-old feels comfortable and happy in front of the camera. We strictly limit our monthly bookings to provide a personalized experience for families across LA, the San Fernando Valley, and Ventura County, resulting in beautifully hand-retouched images you will cherish forever.
Birthday Sessions
Welcome your newest arrival with a completely stress-free Los Angeles newborn photography session at our cozy, fully-equipped Woodland Hills studio. Specializing in timeless newborn portraits, JDLA Photography safely and elegantly captures the delicate, fleeting details of your baby’s first weeks. Known by clients as a "baby whisperer," I take a patient, baby-led approach, allowing plenty of time for feeding and soothing while you simply sit back and relax. Our full-service studio provides absolutely everything you need—including custom props, delicate wraps, gorgeous backdrops, and newborn outfits—so you never have to worry about what to bring. Every session easily incorporates intimate parent and sibling portraits, resulting in a stunning digital gallery of professionally hand-retouched images. Because little ones arrive on their own schedule, I strictly limit my monthly bookings to guarantee flexible scheduling for growing families across LA, the San Fernando Valley, and Ventura County.
